#icouldbewrong but the College Football Playoff selection committee got let off the hook this past weekend. After Championship Saturday started with Baylor upsetting Oklahoma State, the rest of day pretty much went exactly how the committee and the SEC wanted it to go. That made it easy for the committee to pick this year's CFP participants.
The big story, of course, is Cincinnati becoming the first non Power 5 team to make the playoffs. Unfortunately for the Bearcats, they're matched up against Alabama in the semifinals. This figures to be a one sided contest with Nick Saban and company emerging victorious and going back to the big game once again.
The 2 vs. 3 matchup pits Michigan against Georgia in what should be a closer game than what most might think. These are two teams with solid defenses so it could be a low scoring affair. I have Georgia getting a close victory over the Wolverines and setting up a rematch with the Tide for the Championship.
