Here's our first post as icouldbewrongsports.com. Hope you like it.

As we near the end of the NFL's regular season, the race for MVP appears to be a 2 man contest going in to week 16. Most "experts" have Jalen Hurts as the frontrunner currently with Patrick Mahomes slightly behind him. Both have had phenomenal seasons. Hurts has taken a giant step forward this year and led the Eagles to the best record in the league so far. He has accounted for over 4200 yards and 35 total touchdowns. Most importantly, he has taken care of the football has only thrown 5 interceptions through 14 games. Mahomes has just been Mahomes all season long. He leads the league in touchdown passes (35), passing yards (4496), and QBR (79.8). I predicted Mahomes would win MVP this preseason and think he still has a chance but, he's going to have to p ut on a show in these last 3 games to overtake Hurts. Josh Allen is another name that has been mentioned as a possible darkhorse to win the award. He has accounted for 36 total TDs and over 4500 total yards. However, he has also committed 13 turnovers this year. He came into the season as the favorite to win the MVP and definitely looked the part early in the season. An unfortunate mid-season string of games with Allen making poor decision after poor decision, particularly in the red zone, most likely cost him the award in the end. In summary, I think the MVP is Hurts' award to lose but, I'm hoping Mahomes can somehow win. That way I'll finally be right about something.
