ICBW NFL Week 17 Top Ten

#icouldbewrong but here are the top ten #football teams in the #nfl right now.

  1. Kansas City - The Chiefs are all the way back and it looks like the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC is going to go through Arrowhead for a 4th consecutive year. The offense has found its rhythm and the defense is one of the best in the #nfl. Andy Reid and company looked poised to make yet another deep playoff run and quite possibly win their 2nd Super Bowl in the last 3 years.

  2. Green Bay - The Packers have all but locked up a first-round bye and home field advantage in the NFC. They have all the pieces needed to win a Super Bowl and they are currently undefeated at home. Is this the year we finally get Rodgers vs. Mahomes in the big game? Or will the sports gods intervene once again, a la Kobe vs. Lebron from 2008-2011?

  3. Tampa Bay - Even with the injuries they have suffered, the Bucs still have a very potent offense and a defense that is capable of getting on a roll down the stretch. Not to mention, the guy under center is pretty freaking good this time of year. They proved last year that they don't need home field advantage to win in the playoffs, so losing out on the #1 seed isn't as big of a deal as it may be for other teams.

  4. Indianapolis - The Colts have the real MVP in Jonathan Taylor, but of course he won't win it because he's not a quarterback. They also have a top-notch defense. The only question mark with this team is whether or not their quarterback can stay in his lane and just do his job. If so, the Colts just might have enough to challenge the Chiefs for the AFC Championship.

  5. Dallas - Unbelievably, you can trust the Cowboys defense more than you can trust Matthew Stafford to make a big play when the team needs it most and that's why the Cowboys are #5. More importantly for Dallas, the offense seemed to get back on track against Washington. Whether or not they can sustain it for the rest of the season and into the playoffs is the question.

  6. Los Angeles Rams - The Rams should be higher on this list, but Matthew Stafford cannot be trusted to not go back to his Detroit roots at the worst possible time. He's done it too many times already this year. This team won a playoff game last year without OBJ, Von Miller, or Matthew Stafford on the roster. IF they don't win at least 3 this January, the season will be considered a failure, especially when we factor in what the Rams gave up getting their new signal caller to Southern California.

  7. Tennessee - The Titans were the beneficiaries of another Kyle Shanahan/Jimmy G clunker on Thursday night and all but clinched the AFC South crown. If AJ Brown can maintain the level of production that he put up against the Niners, this offense just might have enough to win a playoff game but probably no more than that.

  8. Buffalo - The Bills found a way to hang on against the Patriots and take over 1st place in the AFC East. They aren't as good as they were last year, and we already know that team wasn't good enough to win the Super Bowl. Can they beat anyone on any given Sunday? Yes. Can they beat FOUR PLAYOFF TEAMS FOUR SUNDAYS IN A ROW? #icouldbewrong but I think that there's no chance the Lombardi ends up in Buffalo.

  9. New England - Even with the loss to Buffalo, the Patriots are in a good spot to make the playoffs and ruin someone's new year. Defense and coaching travel well in the playoffs and the Pats have both. If they do make the playoffs, it will be great to get Mac Jones some experience but that's about all it will be. Although winning a wild-card game isn't out of the question, this offense just isn't potent enough to beat the likes of Kansas City or Indianapolis.

  10. Arizona - That loud whistling sound you hear is the Cardinals free falling from the top of the league and NFC West standings. Since week 8, Colt McCoy has won more games (2) as the Cardinals starter than Kyler Murray (1) has. McCoy's last start was in week 11. After starting 7-0, Arizona is 3-5 in their last 8 games including losing their last 3 in a row. What was once a promising season in the desert is on the verge of being another forgotten one, especially if the Cards can't find their offensive groove soon.
