#icouldbewrong, but the overall theme of week 2 of the 2023 NFL season is, "They Are Who We Thought They Were." From blowouts to blown leads, so many teams once again showed us who they are. Here are my top 10 takeaways from week 2 in the NFL.
The Arizona Cardinals are the worst team in the NFL and it's not even close. They once again wasted a prime opportunity. If we lived in "Shouldwouldland" the Cardinals would be 2-0 because they should have won both of their games so far this year.
The Dallas Cowboys look like the best team in the league right now. We'll find out if they really are who we think they are beginning in week 5 at San Francisco.
The Eagles miss their offensive coordinator. If they don't improve their pass blocking and play calling, they're going to really struggle against the teams they need to beat in the playoffs.
Anthony Richardson is going to be a fantasy football superstar. The Colts' signal caller is a dynamic talent and you should do whatever you can to roster him.
The Chicago Bears should try to trade Justin Fields and start over again. For both their team's sake and the player's sake, somebody please end this nightmare. They clearly can't coach to his strengths and at this point in his career, he clearly can't process the information they expect him to fast enough.
Brandon Staley is who I thought he was: An overrated coach that outthinks himself and consistently fails to make the correct adjustments and finds ways for his team to lose games in which they are the better team.
The Broncos are making the Chargers look like a competent team. Sean Payton is going to age 20 years between now and week 18. My guess is Russell Wilson is benched by Thanksgiving dinner for not being able to cook.
Mike Evans is STILL that dude. I know it's only 2 games, but he and Baker Mayfield have already established great rapport. #icouldbewrong, but New Orleans better watch out in the NFC South.
The Los Angeles Rams are for real. They pushed the 49ers to brink on Sunday. Kyren Williams is a star in the making.
The NY Jets have absolutely no faith in Zach Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett has no clue how to call plays with him at quarterback. Without Aaron Rodgers, they are who we all thought they were. They're a well constructed team that doesn't have an average NFL caliber starter in the QB room and their coaches aren't good enough to overcome that fact.
As the season gets revved up, the storylines will as well. I hope you enjoyed this read. Please be sure to check out our other posts and don't forget to share on social media.
